For example . He had been a deviant for over 7 years and yet he only has about 2400 watchers and an average of 65 pageviews per day.
Another example is . He had been a deviant for 3 years and yet he only receives about 30 pageviews per day and has about 1800 watchers.
However, anime artists like has been a deviant for 6 years and yet she has about 9550 watchers.
is another anime artist, had been a deviant for 5 years and yet he/she still receives a stunning 69800 watchers.
C'mon, people should just give up their dreams on being a mangaka, especially if they're not Japanese and don't live in Japan. All(well, 99.99999999%) of the mangakas are Japanese(or part Japanese) and live in Japan.
Even though I personally love anime and manga, I still think the style is overused and better artists go unappreciated all the time.
I mean, yeah you like drawing anime and manga but that won't be usedful for your GCSEs. On a forum on another site, a person(not naming names) asked other people if they think she will get an A* in her art GCSE based on her traditional anime drawings. About 5 people replied and said it depends on the teacher but they think she will get an A*.
However, when I looked at the drawings some of the anatomy wasn't quite right and the shading was a bit off. Okay, I know I'm not a pro and I'm not and expert in art either. But that doesn't mean I can't give constructive criticism. So I was honest and replied that I don't think she will get an A* for her art GCSE and the reason why and told her where to improve. I might be being brutal compared to the comments made by other people, but I was only giving constructive criticism. It's her fault if she can't accept it.
Seriously. We don't live in Japan, do I don't think anime art will pass in the UK. I suggest you should start realistic drawing.
I also know an anime artist (chibi artist to be exact) who gave up drawing realism for the sake of drawing chibis even though she lives in Canada
If I was her, I will start drawing more realism fav.me/d4jdekv fav.me/d4fdjs6
No, I don't mean give up drawing chibis completely, just don't dedicate your whole deviantART gallery to chibis.
Is this just me or do I notice the anime artists are more likely to hide their activity, status and stats?
Okay, guess what's worse than anime art? Yes, you've guessed it(if you're smart enough to). Ponies. Ponies, ponies everywhere.
I mean, are you serious? 3000 favs within 24 hours? fav.me/d4p9ddu
Yes, that's right. And yet, something like this fav.me/d5f9jdt only gets 675 favs since last year.
In the comments and critiques, it was claimed that the piece of artwork was "hilarious" and the most "hilarious thing ever". What type of humour is that? Pony humour? Because I don't find it funny at all. I just found it crap and overrated. How is that piece of crap funny? That is crap humour.
All of that added together, how does that deserve a 5/5 stars for vision, originality, technique and impact?
Okay, so I clicked on the artist's name to see his/her profile. Apparently, he/she has about 10100 watchers while someone like only has 2370 watchers. Are you kidding me?
I've also noticed that the artist
I am very sorry but I'll rather be totally obsessed with anime and manga and become an otaku rather than to become a freaky 23 year old obsessed with cartoons and pink ponies and pony porn or whatever you want to call it.
Yes, I did say anime art is overrated. But pony art is even MORE overrated. It takes less concentration and skills to draw pony cartoons than to draw anime.
Which one do you think comsumes more time, effort and hard work?
This one? fav.me/d5fwrih
Or is it this one? fav.me/d4obti3
Have you decided yet?
